World Cup Fever Has Hit San Antonio: Your Guide to Local Watch Parties
Whether you’re following your national team or simply looking for a good place to catch the action, here are some of the best World Cup watch parties in San Antonio.

The World Cup is always bigger than soccer.
Every four years, people wake up early for matches in different time zones, text family members across countries, wear national team jerseys everywhere, and gather with strangers to live the excitement together.
Whether you’re cheering for Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Uruguay or any other team, there’s no shortage of World Cup watch parties in San Antonio.
The Pearl
If you’re looking for a large-scale watch party experience, Pearl has become one of the city’s biggest World Cup go-tos.
Pearl Park’s main lawn screen will host outdoor match broadcasts alongside Michelob LAND activations, pop-up experiences, and food and drink options from nearby restaurants and bars.
The biggest matches, including the Round of 32, Round of 16, Quarterfinals, Semifinals, and the World Cup Final, will all be shown on the park’s main screen.
Part of what makes Pearl appealing is flexibility. You can watch outdoors with hundreds of other fans in the park or move indoors to venues like Stable Hall, Boiler House, and Sternewirth, which will also host select match screenings throughout the World Cup.

McIntyre’s
If watching the World Cup on giant screens surrounded by big crowds isn’t your style, McIntyre’s offers a solid alternative.
Both its Southtown and North Star locations have become popular spots during the World Cup so far, where you can get a cold drink and enjoy the games with a good crowd.
Fans have reported strong crowds for U.S. matches, with plenty of energy while still feeling approachable and comfortable. The Southtown location in particular has become a reliable place to catch games without needing to get there hours in advance to find a spot.
Twin Bros Burgerz
Twin Bros Burgerz has quietly become a gathering spot for soccer fans during the World Cup, especially for Mexico matches.
According to regular visitors, the owner frequently walks around talking with customers and helping create a welcoming atmosphere that feels more personal than larger sports bars.
If you’re looking for a place where the crowd feels local, and the conversations extend beyond the final whistle, Twin Bros Burgerz is a great option.
Mitchell’s Sports Bar and I-10 Icehouse
Plenty of neighborhood sports bars and gathering spots are also attracting World Cup crowds throughout San Antonio.
Located on Lockhill Selma Road, Mitchell’s is one of those spots, offering more of a classic neighborhood sports bar atmosphere. It’s known for drawing Manchester United supporters during club season and has become a gathering point for fans following England and other international teams.
For fans who like options, I-10 Icehouse is another good option. It offers multiple viewing areas, plenty of televisions, bar games, and enough space for larger groups. It may not have the dedicated soccer culture of some smaller venues, but it’s become a reliable spot for catching matches.
Part of what makes World Cup watch parties special is that they bring together people who might not otherwise be in the same room. In San Antonio, that matters.
While watching from home is always an option, there’s something about celebrating, or suffering through, a match alongside other fans that makes the World Cup feel truly special. This summer, San Antonio has plenty of places to do exactly that.
