National Latina Day: Here’s What’s Happening in San Antonio
If you’re looking for a way to celebrate alongside other Latinas, here’s what you should know about the main National Latina Day events in San Antonio.

Every year on August 20, National Latina Day recognizes the contributions of Latina women across the U.S. and creates space to celebrate their leadership, culture, and community.
What started in 2015 as a Facebook page created by Dolores “Loli” Alvarez Castilla to empower Latinas has grown into a nationwide celebration of the achievements, resilience, and cultural impact of Latina women, creating space for connection, visibility, and opportunity.
Whether you’re looking to grow your professional network, invest in your personal well-being, or simply spend time in community with other Latinas, here’s what to know about the upcoming Latina Day events in San Antonio.
National Latina Day San Antonio Launches its Inaugural Celebration
Hosted by entrepreneur and business strategist Lizé Herrera, National Latina Day San Antonio is an event that brings together entrepreneurs, professionals, creatives, students, mentors, and community leaders for two days of networking, learning, and cultural celebration.
The celebration begins with a kickoff mixer on Thursday, Aug. 20, at La Honky Tonk downtown, followed by the main conference on Friday, Aug. 21, at Norris Conference Centers.
Attendees can expect keynote speakers, panel discussions, mentorship opportunities, networking sessions, a marketplace featuring Latina-owned businesses, live entertainment, and cultural performances. Organizers describe the event with a simple message: “One Room. One Voice. One Movement.”
Registration is currently open, and ticket options include:
- General Admission: $125
- VIP Experience: $249
- General Admission Table (6 seats): $650
- VIP Table (8 seats): $1,500, including VIP experiences and a private lunch
Latina Day Weekend Puts Wellness at the Center
If National Latina Day San Antonio focuses on leadership and entrepreneurship, Latina Day Weekend, organized by The Latina Foundation, approaches the celebration through a different lens: holistic wellness.
In 2026, the organization’s annual event is designed around the idea that caring for Latinas means supporting every part of their lives, not just their careers.
This year’s theme, “Wellness as a Whole,” explores mental, emotional, physical, financial, spiritual, and creative well-being through a series of community experiences, conversations, and cultural celebrations. Organizers say the weekend is intended to create spaces where Latinas can recharge, build meaningful relationships, and invest in themselves alongside other women from across Central Texas.
Programming includes wellness experiences, networking opportunities, local Latina-owned businesses, community gatherings, and interactive activities designed to foster connection rather than competition.
Whether you’re an entrepreneur, student, artist, caregiver, or simply looking to meet new people, the event emphasizes that wellness isn’t one-size-fits-all, and neither is the Latina experience.
Latina Day Weekend takes place Aug. 21 to 23, and registration is currently open.
At the time of publication, registration remains open through Eventbrite. Organizers had not announced a registration deadline, so attendees are encouraged to reserve their spots early while tickets remain available.
Whether you spend the weekend attending a conference or simply connecting with other Latinas, National Latina Day is an important celebration and a reminder that representation doesn’t happen by accident. It grows when communities create spaces to recognize one another’s work, share knowledge, mentor future leaders, and celebrate achievements that too often go unnoticed.
